A couple of weeks ago Samantha stopped sucking her thumb. I was worried that she would be one of those kids who sucked her thumb until she was 15. We went to the dentist and he told her that she would have to get something put in her mouth (eventually) if she kept sucking her thumb to spread her teeth out. That did it. It took a couple of nights of saying it was hard and only sucking it once and then she was done. I was ready for this to be a long difficult process so I was ready to promise her the world if she'd stop. Well... she decided on getting a "skater dog" as she called it from Build-A-Bear. It's basically a stuffed dog that has roller skates. They had one on display and she was sold. She has named it Suzy and we have since not spent a moment without Suzy by our side. She is in love. Totally.
