1 More Month!!

I just thought I would let everyone know how excited I am that I'm in the final days of this pregnancy. Since Adam and I will have to switch insurance my doctor will induce me sometime the week of the 12th (about a week before I'm due) assuming I don't go before that on my own. So I am officially within a month of having this little guy! I forgot how uncomfortable this last month gets so I'm glad I will get to go early, even if it's only slightly. I also thought I would post a picture even though it isn't my favorite...at least you can see how huge I'm getting and feel bad that I have all this extra belly to lug around. Other than that Adam only has 2 more tests and he's done with this semester. Yeah!! The end is in sight.

Family

Let me jus start off by saying we LOVE visitors. In the past couple weeks both Adam's and my parents made it out to visit. Samantha loved the attention and having new friends. I was having so much fun and was busy enough that I didn't even take any pictures. Oh well, I already have enough to scrapbook. I am SOO behind. It is my goal to get caught up with all my pictures of Samantha before the baby is born, but in order to do that I need to get in gear and get a whole bunch of pages done. I also have to decide how to divide up the pages for the future...anyone have any suggestions? My thought right now is to put them all in a family scrapbook that I'll keep, then I'll take a few of the most important pages to recreate for a scrapbook for Samantha (and eventually one for Paul). I could also do the reverse and make a scrapbook for Samantha with the majority of the pages and just keep the major ones for a family album....any thoughts, ideas...just quit now because it's going to be too much work?

Quick Update

So I thought I would post a quick update....Adam decided to turn down the job offer he recieved. He's going to focus on getting Grandpa's house ready to sell and working with Impact (the financial company our investments are with). Not to mention he's taking 19 credits this summer. I am glad he's not working a full time job or I would NEVER see him. Taking this full load over the summer will allow him to graduate in December. YEAH! I know, "a lot of people go to school for 7 years. Yeah, they're called doctors." Well, it only took him 6, and I'm actually extremely proud that it wasn't longer considering he worked 40 hours a week for almost that whole time, changed majors once, and schools twice. I sure am lucky to have such a wonderful, hard working husband.

Easter

This took me a few days, but at least I'm doing it right? Easter was fun, we "hid" (meaning put them on the floor in plain sight) plastic eggs filled with change and some with candy. Samantha learned VERY quickly which of the eggs had the candy in them and went right for those. She was pretty excited and it is always fun to watch her have a good time. My Mom and Dad were here too, and it was really nice to share Easter with them. At church they had an Easter program that was really good. Music always seems more powerful to me than just talks, so it was a great way to recognize the spirit of the day. Unfortunately Samantha was tired and crazy from the candy she had for breakfast, so Adam and I each missed about half the program. Oh well, now we know not to do the secular part of Easter until after church is over. It was just nice to have the reminder of why we celebrate Easter and all we have to be grateful for.

As a side note, as Adam and I are making big changes in our lives we have really appreciated all of you keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We are doing really well and are already starting to see that this whole situation is for the best. Adam has already had one job offer and we're just trying to decide if that is what will be best for our family. We really are very blessed.

Washington DC

We had such a fun time visiting Kim and her family in DC this past week. Samantha LOVED her cousins and was just enthralled by baby Blythe. I was amazed at how sweet Kim's boys were to her. Even when she'd take their stuff they were so nice and would keep playing with her. Kim was also nice enough to babysit one day for us so Adam and I were able to go to a couple museums in downtown. We had a great time and are so glad we decided to go. Since all anyone REALLY cares about is the pictures...here you go.

Snack Time

Samantha was having her snack with Adam in her tent yesterday. They were having a little conversation and she was sharing her grapes with him. It was just so cute to watch them together so I thought I would post a couple pictures. Then this morning I was sweeping and came out of the kitchen to find Samantha "reading" to her baby. Luckily it lasted long enough to get a picture, but she noticed and decided to look right at the camera, oh well.

Sleep Little Baby

It's only been about a month since Samantha went down to one nap (lucky me, I know). The only problem was getting the whole schedule figured out. She would either take a decent nap and wake up early, or sleep in and only nap for about an hour. It was clear that she needed more sleep than she was getting but I wasn't sure how to help her do that. Plus she was still waking up at least once in the night a couple times a week. Luckily it seems like the last week or so that is done. Woo hoo!! She is now sleeping until at least 7:00 and is sleeping for 2-3 hours for her nap. She even slept in until after 8 this weekend, both days!! The best part is she's happy. I wouldn't mind her sleeping less as long as she's not cranky. I am usually awake by 6:30 or so she's welcome to get up, I just hate it when she wakes up and is still tired. All of this has made me realize yet again that I have no control and that she'll do what she wants when she's ready. Oh well, at least I can pretend that I'm in charge. Now I'm just afraid of Daylight Savings Time and that our perfect little sleeping schedule will go out the window. Dun dun dun.
